Treatment For Bronchial Asthma
Essentially bronchial asthma is simply asthma which is a disease of the airways where inflammation causes
wheezing, shortness of breath, coughing and several other symptoms.
The term bronchial simply differentiates it from cardiac asthma which is caused by heart failure.
According to recent studies, over 22 million people in the United States have asthma. There are many causes of
asthma including allergies, smoke, pollution, nasal problems, exercise and simply genetics. Many people don't
realize that genetics play a large role in the development of asthma. So, now that you know what bronchial asthma
is, let's talk about what can be a effective treatment for bronchial asthma.
It is impossible to say there is one best treatment for bronchial asthma because there are many
different treatments based on what type of asthma you suffer from. By that I mean, do you have short term asthma
such as exercise induced symptoms or do you have chronic long term asthma that needs daily treatment to control
symptoms. By determining your needs, you can find the proper asthma treatment for you.
In my opinion, the most effective treatment for bronchial asthma is prevention. This means avoiding triggers and
living a healthy lifestyle that will keep asthma at bay. I have seen people who suffered from severe asthma simply
change their lifestyle and have essentially eliminated any symptoms of asthma. No drugs, medications, inhalers,
meditation or breathing exercises. Just healthy, common sense lifestyle alterations.
Of course, some people need medications to control there asthma so this does not apply to every asthma sufferer
but it will make a difference in the majority of asthma patients. Always consult with your doctor before making any
changes and develop a game plan to control your asthma.
